Hello. I'm Pamela Jane Nye, the nurse who, for twenty-five years, looked forward to wonderful thoughts about the forest beauty, peace, comfort and enjoyment that was waiting for me at my 'forever' Pacific Palisades home.
- One + Two of photos revealing wildfire distruction to Nye's home and content.

As a loyal Farmers Insurance customer for 25 years, I never filed a claim and faithfully paid over $4,000 each year for my homeowners policy—believing I had maximum dwelling and contents coverage as clearly stated on pages 1–7 of my 2024–2025 policy (available on this website’s Legal Stuff page).
After more than 11 weeks of waiting in a hotel with hope and optimism, the Farmers claims attorney finally called to tell me: “All the information indicates there is no coverage.”
Three more hotel months months later, I was told my appeal had been denied—and that Farmers’ CEO would not meet or even speak to me about my claim.
In that moment, I told the claims attorney, “I am disappointed and disillusioned after trusting Farmers for 25 years. I’m a nurse—I don’t make boatloads of money. This was my biggest asset, and I paid to protect it. I expected Farmers to help me protect it. Instead, I am ashamed of your decision—and you should be ashamed of it too.”
